Ages 5-7  August 8-12, 2016 This new camp is designed just for younger train engineers. The camp time each day is shorter, but we’ll pack plenty of activities into each day. The Junior Engineers camp will focus on the Union Pacific Big Boy locomotive. We’ll tell stories about it, measure it and do a few crafts related to this huge, legendary piece. Twelve Brown County historical organizations will open their doors free to the public for the third annual History Treasure Tour. Revealing many of the community’s “hidden” historical treasures, this relaxed event encourages the public — including students and families — to explore Brown County’s rich historical past, while enjoying fun, hands-on activities, special behind-the-scenes tours, and exclusive access to expert staff, in unique historical environments. The Polar Express™ at the National Railroad Museum features a live rendition of the Hot Chocolate Dance followed by a dramatic reading of the original Polar Express™ book.
