Fox River Expansion

Picture your big day or next corporate event in one of our brand new event facilities – now booking for 2026, 2027 and beyond! Four new spaces bring dramatic riverside views, state-of-the-art sound, full accessibility and fresh possibilities for every kind of gathering. Areas can also be combined to create larger spaces for bigger groups – contact our Events Department for more details.

Main Floor Exhibit Space

Host your next event in our lower-level indoor exhibit space! Picture captivating your guests with a stunning view of the Fox River while surrounded by historical pieces from our collection.

Signal Lantern Mezzanine

Your event can overlook history! This airy space would be a wonderful setting to host small gatherings, meetings or weddings surrounded by artifacts, overlooking the Main Floor Exhibit Space and the Fox River.

Jay W. Christopher Fox River Terrace

An unforgettable view for unforgettable events! This covered patio offers easy access to our operational train, outdoor educational space, and views of the Fox River.

John Kress Classroom

Take your meetings, workshops, and classes to the next level in our John Kress Classroom – an excellent space for your next meeting, workshop, or small class.

Historic Train Cars & Original Spaces

Surround your next event in history – from vintage dining cars to our largest indoor hall, each space offers its’ own distinct character and their stories can help tell yours.

Lenfestey Center

Historic trains greet you and your guests upon entering the Lenfestey Center – a one-of-a-kind backdrop for dining, dancing, and celebrating.

  • 26,000 square feet of space
  • Seating for up to 350 guests

  • Updated audio/visual system
  • Stage riser and dance floor available

Fox River Outdoor Space

A flexible outdoor setting overlooking the Fox River, well suited to a ceremony or outdoor celebration.

  • Ample space with nearly endless decorating and floral options
  • Use of permanent wedding stage, including an arch
  • Chair rental required
  • Audio/visual available for an extra fee

Best suited for: outdoor wedding ceremonies, casual outdoor gatherings


Silver Spirit Dining & Lounge Car

A beautifully restored 1930’s train car. Step back in time for a rehearsal dinner, bridal shower, or intimate gathering.

  • Split dining area and lounge area, with total seating for up to 44
  • Can be used stationary or on-track (seasonally, May-September)
  • Temperature controlled
  • Catering services available

Best suited for: rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, weddings, intimate dinners


Dothan Dining Car

A romantic, vintage setting perfect for smaller dinner receptions and rehearsal dinners.

  • Seating for up to 48, in four-top dining table style
  • Can be used stationary or on-track (seasonally, May-September)
  • Temperature controlled
  • Catering services available

Best suited for: rehearsal dinners, intimate dinners, small celebrations


Richard J. Resch Foundation Theatre

Let the spotlight shine as you celebrate on stage in the Richard J. Resch Foundation Theatre!

  • Stage with a wall-sized screen
  • Seating capacity of 109
  • ADA accessibility
  • Audio/visual support with computer access, a projector, and a sound system – tailored to specific needs
